Help Those Experiencing Food Insecurity

Throughout the month of April, FCPL is collecting donations of food for Cornerstones, FacetsFood for Others, Lorton Community Action Center, Rising Hope Misson Church and Second Story. During this food drive, community members can drop off unexpired, commercially produced food items - see below for specific food requests - to any FCPL branch during regular hours.

Food pantries consider the needs of community members.

According to End Hunger in America, when we ask community members what food items they need or want, it "gives the people being served a sense of dignity and control, limits waste (since they tend not to take food they won’t use) and allows them to tailor the help they receive to be the best possible fit for their own unique situation."
