My Perfect Read

FCPL staff can help you find it.

Tina Mraz

Tina Mraz surrounded by a collection of early reader favorites.

I have always been drawn to children's literature. Connecting children with a book they fall in love with is a magical experience. The children’s books currently being published are diverse, thoughtful, rich and original.

I am a complete bookworm, so I do lots of reading: young adult as well as adult mysteries, thriller and suspense novels. I love the gotcha factor in mysteries, thrillers and suspense novels. I love to be surprised.

When I am not reading, I am spending time with my family. I love working with my husband on our many home renovations, visiting family in Florida, visiting the beach as often as possible, gaming with my kids (even though I am really bad at it), going to Disney World and getting outside for a hike — if I’m not too deep into my current read!

It's hard to pick just a few favorites, but I would have to say anything by Mo Willems, Don't Squish the Sasquatch! By Kent Redeker, The Word Collector by Peter H Reynolds and A Tree for Me by Nancy Van Laan. I can go on and on but I'll stop there.
