Starting June 27th, Curbside Services will expand to include Saturday, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Starting July 13th, returns will no longer need to be staggered on Monday, Wednesday, Friday.
Starting August 1st, normal circulation procedures resume. This includes item due dates, fine assessment, and holds expiration.
Fairfax County Public Library’s Curbside pickup of holds and grab bags began Monday, June 1; Saturday hours began June 27. In addition to picking up holds, you may request a particular book or a staff-selected grab bag based on reading level and preferences by calling the branch.
At no point will you physically interact with the library staff helping you. Other steps we are taking in our curbside pickup process for the safety of staff and patrons include:
All returned items are quarantined for 72 hours before being checked-in. Please be patient as they will still show on your account during that time.
Fairfax County Public Library is accepting returns of borrowed materials. Please return borrowed FCPL materials to the book drop of any FCPL branch (except Lorton Library, which is closed for renovation). If you are returning Interlibrary Loan (ILL) materials, please rubber band the materials and, if possible, wrap in a bag in order to protect the binding.
Do not return library materials to staff or the pickup tables.
