Pickups

Curbside pickup hours at all branches are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday and at only Regional branches on Sundays 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Answers to frequently asked questions can be found at the bottom of this page.)

Holds may be placed through our library catalog or by calling your library branch. Here are some tips on reserving items.

To pick up your holds: 

• Please park in the designated area of your library’s lot and call the branch phone number posted on the sign. Branch phone numbers can also be found online on individual branch webpages.
• Provide your library card number to staff on the phone.
• Your holds will be deposited on the pickup table.
• If you are returning Interlibrary Loan (ILL) materials, please rubber band the materials and, if possible, wrap in a bag in order to protect the binding.

In addition to picking up holds, you may request a particular book or a staff-selected grab bag based on reading level and preferences by calling the branch.

• Contacting the library with requests ahead of time will provide a faster pickup experience.
• Please cancel unwanted holds prior to arriving for pickup. If you cannot cancel a hold online, call the branch library where the hold is waiting and let them know.

Please return borrowed FCPL materials to the circulation desks or book drops of any FCPL branch (except Lorton Library, which is closed for renovation). If you are returning Interlibrary Loan (ILL) materials, please rubber band the materials and, if possible, wrap in a bag in order to protect the binding.
