Curbside and Virtual Services

What You Need

A Fairfax County Library card number and password are all that are needed to access our free eBooks and eAudiobooks through services such as OverDrive and our databases.

If you are registering online for the first time, most though not all databases will be available to "PACREG" cards.

Overdrive: IndieAuthors Unlimited, Popular eBooks, Popular eAudiobooks

Our OverDrive collection provides thousands of eBooks, eAudiobooks and eMagazines and includes popular fiction and non-fiction titles for all ages.

OverDrive eBooks and eAudiobooks are available for up to 21 days at a time and are automatically returned at the end of the lending period. Customers can check out up to 10 eBook or eAudiobooks at one time. There are no late fees.

Titles may be read or listened to on a computer or on a portable device. Instructions listed below are available to access eBooks, eAudiobooks and eMagazines.

  • Libby App - and libbyapp.com (OverDrive's preferred app).
  • OverDrive web app - browser version (the OverDrive app will be retired by the end of the year and can no longer be downloaded from any app stores.
  • Kindle or Kindle app.
