Year of Literacy

FCPL is celebrating literacy!

About This Guide

year of literacy logo

Many people think of literacy and the library in terms of language, books, reading and writing, but a powerful facet of public libraries is the storage and free availability of knowledge. Having a library card means having access to learn about anything. This year, FCPL is celebrating literacy as ability to ‘read’ a specified subject or medium and competence or knowledge in a particular area by focusing on special subjects all year long.

Join us as we highlight the many resources and events you get for free through your local public library.
