Take & Make Activities at Kingstowne Library

Take and Make activity kits are available on a first-come, first-served basis. You may wish to call ahead to confirm availability.

Decorate Your Library (All Ages)

Draw your best rainbow using markers, crayons, colored pencils or even paint. Pick up a blank sheet of paper at Kingstowne Library or use a piece of paper from home. Return your rainbow either by calling 703-339-4610 during curbside service hours or by dropping it off during your Express Services visit. Staff will hang up your rainbow inside the library for all to see! 

Rainstick (All Ages)

Decorate and create a rainstick to make it sound like it's raining no matter what the weather is like outside. While supplies last. All Ages.

Anemometer (Ages 6-11)

Create an anemometer to help you measure the wind speed. While supplies last. Ages 6-11.

Blackout Poetry (Ages 12 and up)

Celebrate National Poetry Month by creating blackout poetry from old book pages and newspapers. While supplies last. Ages 12 and up.
