The Fairfax County Public Library’s strategic plan for 2023 - 2027 is shaped by the priorities of the Library Board of Trustees and strengthened by the vision of the Library Director. This plan will serve as the roadmap to guide the library’s work over the next five years.
This plan introduces "Our Identity" statement to acknowledge staff and volunteers and to highlight our priorities. New vision and mission statements reflect our guiding principles and our strategic priorities. The plan will be reviewed and evaluated regularly by library staff, management and the Library Board to chart the progress of achieving the plan’s stated goals and objectives and to be flexible and adaptable to the changing needs of the community.
