Nine winners were selected from our 2024 Where We Belong Art Contest. You can view them in a traveling exhibit throughout Fairfax County at the following locations:

• 7/1-7/5: Fairfax County Government Center Lobby, 12000 Government Center Parkway, Fairfax, VA 22035
• 7/8-7/21: Providence District Supervisor's Office (Jim Scott Community Center), 3001 Vaden Dr, Fairfax, VA 22031

• 8/12-8/18: The PARC at Tysons, 8508 Leesburg Pike, Tysons, VA 22182
• 8/26-9/1: Sherwood Regional Library, 2501 Sherwood Hall Ln, Alexandria, VA 22306

Students across Fairfax County celebrated Immigrant Heritage Month by participating in our art contest! We invited youth to draw inspiration from their families or their communities to portray the colorful, diverse county we share. Students chose one of the following prompts for their art: 

• We all belong in Fairfax County.
• This is my family portrait.
• This is where I am from. 
• We celebrate the contributions of our immigrant community members. 

Artwork was accepted in any format but needed to be scanned or photographed and submitted via our online form. Three winners will be selected per category: kindergarten-2nd grade, 3rd-6th grade and 7th-12th grade. Winners will receive a Barnes & Noble gift card and have their art displayed in a traveling exhibit.
