Free Wi-Fi Internet Access

All library branches offer free wireless access (Wi-Fi) in public areas during open and extended hours — whether on a County-provided computer or your own mobile device or laptop. No library card numbers or passwords are needed.

Free Wi-Fi Access

High speed wireless internet is available free at all community and regional Fairfax County Public Library locations. No library card
numbers or passwords are needed.

Many branches have parking lot Wi-Fi access from 6AM to 10PM, seven days a week. Call your local branch if you have any questions.

  • City of Fairfax Regional Library, Herndon Library and Kingstowne Library do not have parking lot Wi-Fi access.

Connecting to the Library's Wi-Fi / Public Wireless Network

  • In your device’s Settings app, find and select the Wi-Fi network FCPL_Wifi.
  • The library’s Terms of Service should pop up automatically.
  • Read the Library’s Terms of Service, check the box next to “I Accept the Terms of Service” and then select the blue Connect button.

I'm having trouble connecting to the public wi-fi network.

See How do I connect to the library's wireless network? - Library FAQs or visit the Information Desk at any of our library branches.
