Video Teleconferencing (VTC)

Usage tips and troubleshooting options for Fairfax County Public Library VTC setups in public meeting rooms.

Connect to VTC - Hybrid Meeting Mode

Host Zoom Meeting from Library meeting room

  • Turn on television using the TV remote. Use the Home button on the remote to select Teams on the TV screen.
  • Plug in at least one microphone in the filing cabinet drawer to the Mic Pod Hub.
  • Plug in the Swytch cable to your device* and open Zoom. 

In Zoom

  • Select Join with Computer Audio, then from the Audio menu, select Echo Cancelling Speakerphone for both Microphone and Speaker.
  • From the Video menu, choose Logi Rally Camera.
  • Invite participants as needed.

*Requires User to have Laptop.

Join an externally hosted Zoom meeting in Library meeting room.

  • Tap Join with an ID on the Tap Panel and enter Meeting ID and Passcode for the meeting you will be attending.

 

Host Teams Meeting from Library meeting room

  • Staff will unlock the filing cabinet. Retrieve remotes and microphones as needed.
  • Turn on television using the TV remote. Use the Home button on the remote to select Teams on the TV screen.
  • Plug in at least one microphone in the filing cabinet drawer to the Mic Pod Hub.
  • Tap Meet Now on the Tap Panel to start your meeting.
  • To invite other attendees, capture the Meeting ID and Passcode (case sensitive) and share using your personal device (through email/text/phone call).
  • External attendees can join with Meeting ID and Passcode (case sensitive) at https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/Microsoft-teams/join-a-meeting.
  • End the meeting by pressing the red End Call button on the Tap Panel.
