Intro to eBooks and eAudiobooks

The library offers free access to eBooks and eAudiobooks, which are digital books that you can read or listen to on a computer or a portable device.

You will need a Fairfax County Public Library card in order to access the several eBook services that the library subscribes to, including:

Directions for finding, downloading and transferring the eBooks will vary depending on what type of device (Kindle, iPad, Nook, laptop, etc) you use to read or listen to library eBooks or eAudiobooks.

What About OverDrive?

If you have holds, checkouts or wish lists in OverDrive and have changed your card number, please visit Select Help in the top right, scroll down and select Troubleshooting, then select the green Find Library Support button. Fill out the form (category Card – Account Update) to have OverDrive transfer your items to your new card number.

What About Inter Library Loan (ILLiad)

If you have interlibrary loan requests or checkouts, please re-register with the ILLiad system. Then email with your old AND new library card number so your accounts can be merged.
