Need additional help with using eBooks and eAudiobooks? You can: 

  • Chat with a live staff member using our Ask Your Library chat service, available Mondays-Fridays from 10-5:45 pm.
  • Submit a question at any time and staff will respond through email.
  • Search OverDrive's Help site for specific questions. Libby also has a device-specific help page.
  • OverDrive also offers a Support form for more technical issues.

I Have a New Card Number

What About OverDrive?

If you have holds, checkouts or wish lists in OverDrive and have changed your card number, please visit

  • Select Help in the top right, scroll down
  • Select Troubleshooting,
  • Enter your zip code or Fairfax County Public Library
  • Click Get Support next to the library's name
  • Fill out the form (category Card – Account Update) to have OverDrive transfer your items to your new card number.

What About Inter Library Loan (ILLiad)

If you have interlibrary loan requests or checkouts, please re-register with the ILLiad system. Then email with your old AND new library card number so your accounts can be merged.
