Your next steps depend on the number of item matches returned.
1) One match: Click on the words "Place Hold" in the left column. Select from the drop-down menu the library branch where you would like to pick up the item. Click on the "Place Hold" button.
2) More than one match: Select a title by clicking on "Details" in the left column. Click on the words "Place Hold" in the left column. Select from the drop-down menu the library branch where you would like to pick up the item. Click on the "Place Hold" button.
You have seven business days to pick up an item once the library has notified you that it is available.
The library will contact you by e-mail or phone, depending on the preference shown in your account information. If you wish to change your preference, please use the Library Card Information Change form or ask staff on your next visit to the library.
You may cancel your hold request on a title you no longer need.
Access to your account is not available from 11:30 pm - Midnight daily.
For an item which is not yet available for you, you may change the pickup location you've designated.
For an item which is available for you, please contact the library branch where that item is waiting for you.
You may create, remove or edit the date you would like your hold request to expire. Note: When the expiration date passes, the hold will be removed from your account. This is not the same as suspending a hold.
You may suspend your hold request for an item. While your request is suspended, you will keep your place in the queue for the item and allow others behind you in the queue to receive their request for the item.
You may unsuspend your hold request when you are ready for the item. Depending upon your position in the queue at that time, an available item will fill your hold request.
Overdrive does not have a suspend/unsuspend option.
