This book is a compilation of Ann Patchett's reflections on events in life that made a mark on her. I especially got excited on reading in one of the essays that she also reads and loves Kate DiCamillo's books. There is something that connects Kate's stories to one's childhood. Ann marvels on Kate's characters in her stories in terms of the children's resiliency and imagination.
The essays took me to places that I thought I would rather ignore or would have forgotten. The book is also a good read, too, if you do not have much time to read and yet like to sleep on an inspiring thought.
