I like how this book engages its readers to think about how writing can give us comfort that even during the hard times of one's life, writing plays a crucial part in one's survival. Just like when the author told the story of Anne Frank as she wrote in her diary in the attic of an office building while hiding from the Nazis. She and her family needed to be quiet and still. I believe that is hard for a 13-year-old but what a comfort for her to write her cares away.
This book inspires me to write thoughts and memories. Reading this book made me think of deep things: the deep things of finding our way out and hope to make things better as we all go through life with uncertainty, and writing could be a way of finding our blessings.
