This book is about a writer who experienced writer's block and challenged her friend to write 1,000 words a day for two weeks without any direction as to what to write but just write and see what words show up on the page. But as she posted the challenge on social media, others joined the challenge.

This book contains entries from published writers on how they tackle being engaged and motivated to write even when you don't have the time and don't know how and where to start. My favorite is the one written by J. Courtney as she shares that the 1,000 words that you write are still gold and it could still be the "map" that leads to something good. She shared that she used to write emails to herself with ideas for her book with the little time that she had. And when she finally had time, all she had to do to start was pull her emails from her inbox to search for what she calls the "breadcrumbs," little notes she had left for herself to get a head start.

I liked her for breadcrumbs. She was not literally referring to food for eating but food for her spirit that she was saying that "hey, I am super busy and tired but I wrote something today."
