Sixteen days before their wedding day, Kit confessed to Piglet something that he had done. Piglet's response was silence. Shutting people out, including her best friend, Piglet decided to still go through the wedding despite what Kit did.

But counting down through the days before the wedding, Piglet found herself hungry. She would go to restaurants by herself and order each item on the menu -- like each kind of burger on the list with fried sides.

On their wedding day, after the vicar pronounced them man and wife, Piglet realized that what Kit did would not go away. Thus, the reception party was a disaster, because she went straight to the kitchen and ate with her bare hands before meeting the guests. Later she gave a toast, explaining what was going on, and then left the party, and left her marriage.

Perhaps Piglet thought that if she had been content and happy on their wedding day, she would not be hungry. At least she would have cared if her wedding dress would fit her that day.
