Overview

Hands-on History kits are a collection of primary source replicas such as  photographs, journals, military records, replica money and games from the time period of the kits. Kits include lesson plans and activities.

Circulation Policy

  • Kits may be borrowed for 6 weeks. They are renewable if no one is waiting in the holds queue.
  • Kits may be placed on hold and can be picked up at any branch.
  • All items are to be returned with the kit

Civil War in Fairfax County: Sesquicentennial commemoration kit

Primary sources such as photographs, journals, military records, diary entries, and song lyrics are provided as well as several hands-on activities.
