Hands-on History kits are a collection of primary source replicas such as photographs, journals, military records, replica money and games from the time period of the kits. Kits include lesson plans and activities.
The American Revolution educational outreach kit is provided in partnership with the George Washington Chapter, Virginia Society, Sons of the American Revolution. The kit is intended for use by educators for students grades 4 through high school.
Intended to introduce young people to the impact that the Civil War had on Fairfax County, the Sesquicentennial commemoration kit is for use by teachers and educators for students grades 4 through high school. Primary sources such as photographs, journals, military records, diary entries, and song lyrics are provided as well as several hands-on activities.
