Winter Wonderland with Mr. Jon & Friends

Join multiple Parents' Choice Award winning musician Mr. Jon & Friends for a fun winter concert for the whole family.  Mr. Jon and his silly friend George the Monkey will have you laughing and dancing along to fun winter songs. A musical comedy show not to miss! Co-sponsored by the Friends of the George Mason Regional Library.

Winter Owls

Owl

Meet owls living right in your own backyard year-round and learn what they do through the cold winter months – how they keep warm, find food and prepare for spring. You’ll also learn about the migratory owls that visit us each winter as well as hints on how to see and hear owls, and how to help them thrive. Best of all, you’ll get to meet live owls up close to hear their personal stories, take a photo and maybe even get a selfie with your favorite owl! Co-sponsored by the Friends of the George Mason Regional Library.

How I Became an Author and How I Make Novels Through Teamwork: An Afternoon with Megal Wagner Lloyd

Join bestselling and award-winning author Megan Wagner Lloyd as she shares her path to becoming an author. Megan will guide participants through the step-by-step process of how she creates her graphic novels (from Allergic to Squished to Super Pancake) starting with the first idea to the final art. The presentation will be followed by an audience Q & A and a book signing.
