The General Services Agreement dated November 20, 1978 between Fairfax City and Fairfax County is perpetual. Termination for services, except for justice services required by the State Code, may be initiated by either the City or the County. Such termination intention must be in writing not less than three years prior to the effective date of such termination. Termination of the contract for one service shall not affect contracts for the remaining services.
Article I focuses on Fire and Rescue Services.
Article II is Governmental Services. Section 2, "Other Services," lists library services among others on page 6. Section 4, "Attributable Costs," spells out the formula used to figure the charges for such services.
Article III, Physical Facilities, discusses costs, both bonded indebtedness and costs in excess of bonded indebtedness. The Adult Detention Center and Courts facility are cited.
