Most of the organizations you read about on this site welcome volunteers to provide valuable assistance with program support. Use your talents, energy and time to connect with children and youth in a learning environment.
Some of the tasks a volunteer may be asked to do include:

If you're more interested in general volunteer opportunities with Fairfax County, please use the Volunteer Management System to locate and apply for an opportunity.
This STEAM Opportunities for Youth website is for students and their families who have an interest in science, technology, engineering and math, as well as students who want to learn more about STEAM career options.
The site is also a way to inform county decision makers about STEAM opportunities throughout the county, while the map provides awareness of programs in their districts as well as any underserved areas.
County business and community leaders in the STEAM industry who wish to partner in a variety of ways including programming, sponsoring and mentoring, can use the website and map to quickly determine where their resources are best allocated.
This is an ongoing project and new information and resources are being added regularly. Activities, programs and sites are being added to the map and calendar as well.
